HOW TO: DENIM ON DENIM
Denim on denim can sound a little daunting at first but don’t be scared fashion friends! There are all sorts of ways to incorporate denim on denim into your personal style. I am a sucker for all sorts of denim on denim, on denim, on denim. Sometimes I think the more the better, but not always.
Denim accessories: simple way to ease into this trend is by adding a denim scrunchie, hat or bag to your outfit! As you can see above, this is a simple outfit but both denim pieces are poppin’. Check out our accessories section for some Shy Denim goodies.
Different coloured denim: mixing up the wash, colour or pattern of your denim can be a fun way to wear denim on denim without looking like a 90’s pop star.
When wearing the same colour denim top and bottom (some above), I try to let the denim do the talking and keep all other accessories and under garments plain and simple.
If you do want to go denim all over, what I have found works best for me is sticking to a smaller colour pallete. For our Coachella ‘fits (below) we went very tonal, different shades of blue paired back with black, white and silver accessories. This was my Shy Denim take on my Britney and Justin fantasy.
